Heading to Converge? Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas releases Mark Tallo

Mark Tallo was granted his release from the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas’ 3×3 basketball team on Friday, potentially opening the door for him to join the Converge FiberXers in the PBA.

Mel Macasaquit, Vice President of Chooks Inc., confirmed that they are releasing Tallo after his years of playing for their 3×3 team in numerous competitions.

“Chooks Pilipinas is grateful for the service Tallo has done for the country, including being the country’s number one-ranked 3×3 player. Tallo has exemplified the spirit of dedication, hard work, and passion that defines Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas,” Macasaquit said.

“Tallo’s transition to 3×3 basketball showcased his adaptability and resilience. His performances on the court have brought pride and inspiration to fans across the nation. Although he now embarks on a journey back to 5-on-5 basketball, we want to assure Mac that our unwavering support and cheers will always be with him,” he added.

The former De La Salle University Green Archers guard has been training with the FiberXers for the past few weeks and has participated in some of the team’s tune-up matches.

Tallo has been on the radar of FiberXers head coach Aldin Ayo since the last PBA season, but he is currently under an existing contract with Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas.

Before joining Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas, Tallo had previous stints with the TNT Tropang Giga and the NLEX Road Warriors in the PBA.
