Australian veteran Venkatesha “Venky” Jois will serve as the import of NorthPort Batang Pier for the season-opening Commissioner’s Cup on November 5.
The 30-year-old Jois went undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft and spent the majority of his professional career in the Australian National Basketball League. In addition, he has played in several tournaments in Europe.
The Batang Pier is the final team to announce their import for the upcoming conference.
Some of the new faces that will suit up for NorthPort this season are rookies Fran Yu, Cade Flores, and Brent Paraiso. Their first-round pick, Zav Lucero, is on the injured list as he continues to recover from his ACL injury. (MJD)
