Bryan Bagunas, Win Streak retain Top Volleyball League crown

Bryan Bagunas and the Win Streak Volleyball Team repeated as champions in Taiwan’s Top Volleyball League after a 25-22, 25-21, and 25-21 conquest over Taipower in Game 2 of the finals on late Sunday night in Taipei, Taiwan.

The former National University Bulldogs star contributed 16 points, all coming from attacks, as the Win Streak wrapped up the best-of-three championship series at 2-0.

Win Streak also prevailed over Taipower in Game 1 on Black Saturday, 25-23, 25-17, 25-19, with Bagunas contributing 20 points on 17 attacks, two blocks, and a service ace.

The championship capped off a remarkable season for Bagunas after emerging as the league’s top scorer at the end of eliminations with 436 points on 387 attacks, 29 blocks, and 20 service aces.

It is not clear, however, if Bagunas will join the Cignal HD Spikers in the ongoing Spiker’s Turf Open Conference at the conclusion of the Top Volleyball League season.
