Cats do bite the hand that feed them– even if it’s a senator’s.
Senator Leila de Lima hand has been bitten by a cat she tried to feed recently while in detention at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center, Politiko has learned.
According to Politiko’s source, De Lima took pity on the cats at the compound since they appeared to be always hungry.
A pet lover, De Lima often gave the cats her leftovers.
But in one instance, the cats fought among themselves for the food De Lima was trying to give them.
Her hand was bitten by a cat as a result.
Luckily, De Lima immediately received medical attention from the guards at the compound. But it’s unknown whether she had to get anti-rabies shots for her wound.
