Netizen chides Kapamilya artist Enchong Dee for “poem” encouraging Filipinos to speak up vs Duterte government

An open letter addressed to ABS-CBN artist Enchong Dee in reaction to the actor urging Filipinos to speak up against the government circulates online.

Netizen blogger Noel Landero Sarifa took to Facebook chiding the Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee for a poem urging Filipinos to vocalize their sentiment against the government following the shutdown of his TV network.

In the open letter, Sarifa told the Kapamilya artists who idolized by many Filipinos to calm down and refrain from blaming the government for the ABS-CBN shutdown.

Sarifa said neither the public nor the government wishes Kapamilya employees to lose their jobs.

Sarifa remarked that the only wish of the Filipino people is that justice is applied fairly to the poor and the rich.

Sarifa sounded optimistic the rule of law will prevail instead of being bended to accommodate the caprices of Dee’s employer.

How many decades the Filipino people were helpless, from being fed with fake and biased news?

How many decades the artists were used as the instrument to deceive and denied the people to know the truth?

How many decades the eyes of Filipinos have been blindfolded that we cannot see the truth? Sarifa begged for answer.

Sarifa queried who are the aggrieved party? The 11,000 ABS-CBN employees or the Philippine democracy? “Sino ba ang kinawawa? Ang labin-isang libong manggagawa o ang ating demokrasya at inang bansa?”

Sarifa asked Dee if they have not seen the truth? Or they just play pretend in the name of money? “Hindi nyo nakikita ang katotohanan? O sadyang nagbubulagbulagan sa ngalan ng kayamanan?”

Sarifa asserted that the public outcry is justice. The law is not a toy they can manipulate as they wish, is it right that justice is only for the rich? And the law is only applicable to the poor?

Sarifa ended the letter telling the Kapamilya talents and their supporters not to fight for the wrong cause, instead fight for rule of law, the triumph of the voice of the people, not the few celebs and the wealthy.
