Rajko Toroman heaped praise on the World Cup-bound Gilas Pilipinas team after their impressive win over Ivory Coast in a tune-up game last Friday.
Toroman liked what he saw with the Gilas squad as they demolished the West African country 85-62.
“They have size, everything, even the guys who have international exposure like Kiefer Ravena and Dwight Ramos,” the Serbian coach said in a report from Spin.ph.
“I think that’s the strongest team in the history of Philippine basketball,” Toroman added.
The former Gilas head coach also said that one thing the Philippine team can improve on is their chemistry.
“First game with Jordan Clarkson. They need the time to fix everything, to make the chemistry,” Toroman said.
The 68-year-old mentor is back in the Philippines to serve as a consultant for the CSB Blazers and the Converge FiberXers. (MJD)
