Jimmer Fredette leads Miami to FIBA 3×3 World Tour crown

Jimmer Fredette delivered timely baskets as Miami ruled the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Masters with a 22-19 victory over Vienna on late Sunday night at the SM Seaside City Activity Center in Cebu City.

The former Sacramento Kings guard drilled back-to-back deuces, including the go-ahead basket, as a United States-based team ruled the FIBA 3×3 event for the first time in four years.

Fredette, the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, top-scored for Team Miami with nine points; Canyon Barry added eight markers; and Kareem Maddox and Dylan Travis combined for five.

Matthias Linortner top-scored for Vienna with nine points, Nico Kaltenbrunner added six markers, and Quincy Diggs and Enis Murati ended up with a combined four points.

In the co-main event, Polish pro dunker Rafak Lipinski defeated Filipino opponents David Carlos and Dominic Gonzales to clinch the slam dunk contest.
