Police Superintendent Maria Christina Nobleza should be sentenced to death by public hanging along with other traitors in the government says President Rodrigo Duterte.
President Duterte made the threat in a media interview on Saturday in Cagayan De Oro.
"Dapat bitayin at public hanging siya. And I will not hesitate to do it if it comes to that. I will hang every traitor here in government,” said Duterte.
[She should be executed by public hanging...]
"The name of that woman, Nobleza, always crops up. The cop was a recipient of huge cash from a group that is part of the terror groups fighting in the Middle East. She is really the lady that is a traitor to her country," the president stated in his speech to the after his visitation to the wounded soldiers at Camp Evangelista Hospital.

Duterte would want to hang Nobleza publicly if only he would have his way.
"I will not hesitate to do it if it comes to that. I will hang every traitor in the government," he said.
However, the president's chief legal counsel stated that the former policewoman cannot be hanged publicly.
"That is not the penalty imposed by the Constitution,” stated Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo to media reporters when asked why Nobleza cannot be executed via public hanging.
"What he is saying is that this Nobleza has to be given the severest penalty imposed by law but that is not hanging, definitely not hanging," he added.
"The President, as we have known him by this time, he is fond of hyperbole because he wants some drama in some statements, to dramatize anything that he says, to get the attention of the people," Panelo stated.
Maria Cristina Nobleza is a former Deputy Director of the Philippine National Police of Davao City's crime laboratory. She was arrested for aiding the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf who were involved in the Bohol teror attack. Added to her charges are illegal possession of firearms, resistance and disobedience to agents of persons in authority, and harboring of a criminal.
Found at the apartment the couple previously rented in Barangay Looc on Panglao Island, Bohol was a luggage containing components of an improvised explosive device - a C-4 explosive, a detonating cord, a blasting cap and a blasting cap kit.

Further investigations revealed that Nobleza is married to Renierlo Dongon, brother-in-law of several terror leaders in Mindanao.
Chief Supt. Noli Taliño, director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), stated that the two have been married several years ago.
"Dongon himself admitted that they are married. Superintendent Nobleza converted to Islam so they could tie the knot," Taliño stated.
According to the president, Nobleza allegedly accepted financial help from the ISIS in the Middle East and distributed the money from different terror groups in the country.
"We looked at the remittances. The name always surfacing is that of the woman, Nobleza, the police woman who was being sent funds by one of the terror groups fighting in the Middle East. She is really the lady that is a traitor to her country," Duterte stated.
In the death penalty revival bill that the Congress has still not yet passed, hanging is one of the allowed methods of execution, aside from firing squad and lethal injection.
