Krizette Chu stated that "the essence of a true democracy is a working--and credible--opposition. Without opposition to the government, there will be no checks and balance" and we couldn't agree more to this.
He rants were directed to the main antagonists of the Duterte administration namely senators Risa Hontiveros, Bam Aquino, Magdalo Rep. Alejano and to Trillanes, Franklin Drilon and lastly to Kiko Pangilinan. However, her rant was more directed to Senator Risa Hontiveros who she found disappointing after joing the Liberal Party-list.
Chu said that she was really rooting for Hontiveros to be the reasonable voice of the opposition but she only made herself a joke and thus making people ridicule her and reducing her as a punchline. The senator, said Chu, has lost her ability "to see reason" and became obssessed in destablizing the current government. She added that everyone in the Liberal Party are like that, "and yet they call us the tards" referring to 'Dutertards' a term that is use to describe Duterte retards supporters
The known writer also expressed her disappointment to the sudden changes she witnessed at the lady senator. Hontiveros, whose home she once visited for a story back in 2007, was fond of paintings and arts. The former Akbayan representative who once had a clear vision of her sensible "fight and advocacies" but now, she's completely changed. She was consumed and eaten by the rotten LP where she owed her win as a senator and like became a trapo.
"She has become the person I think she used to hate back when she was an idealistic lawmaker--giving concessions, kowtowing to her party, mema. Sana di nalang siya lumipat ng partido, nawalan siya ng dignidad," Chu wrote.
On the otherhand, Chu referred to VP Leni Robredo as "ignorant, malicious, duplicitous, and wouldn't even release her FOI." The detained Sen. Leila de Lima was called "the mother of all drug lords." The Magdalo Rep. Alejano and Trillanes were referred to as "mercenaries" and she said that Alejano who just suddenly popped out from nowhere, giving his sentiments towards the current administration should be thankful now that people know about his existence but honestly, " HU U siya talaga" said Chu.
Krizette Chu said that "nobody takes Bam Aquino seriously."
"He is like a little boy playing dress up, which is both his strength and his weakness. Strength because he could be planning the takedown of this government, and we would just be pooh-poohing him and say, "Sus di niya kaya, kahit pa yung costume niya P500 bill." And it's always dangerous to underestimate the enemy," she added.
Chu didn't overlook the "most trapo of them all", who, as stated by Krizette, "most useless politician to have ever lived and committed many sins against society and yet has managed to elude investigation, I think of Drilon and how savvy he has been, flying under the radar like that."
Meanwhile, Chu wrote that Kilo Pangilinan "has no credibility, and has done nothing amazing for Agriculture. Manny Pinol makes him look like a bumbling first grader."
Her dibs were really on Sen. Hontiveros who she thought had the chance of being the most reasonable of them all but due to her recent statements about the ISIS-linked Maute group, she made herself look ignorant of the Constitution and a laughingstock.
