Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo are two of the most popular celebrities in the country. This means they have a lot of fans following their every move. Both their social media accounts are blowing up with likes, shares, and comments. People are attracted to every news story about the pair and now, they put it to good use.
We know that celebrities get endorsements because of their following. So Daniel and Kathryn got people who followed them to also notice the issue of cyber bullying. Both celebrities are now part of a group that pushes to erase cyber bullying.

Karla Estrada, Daniel's mother, posted on her Instagram account that her son and Kathryn are part of Cybersmile. They are the new ambassadors of the non-profit organization that aims to erase all forms of bullying from the Internet.
There has been a rise in cyber bullying since 2016. Philstar wrote an article about it: "ACG anti-cybercrime operations division chief Senior Supt. Michael Angelo Zuniga said among the symptoms that a minor is a victim of cyberbullying is low self-esteem, withdrawal from family and spending a lot of time alone."

Karla's post contained a quote from the two actors. The content stated: "No one has any right to disrespect others and be rude because you are not seen or can be anonymous on cyberspace. I would like people to be aware of the ill effects of cyberbullying and as an official cybersmile ambassador, I hope that I would be able to raise awareness on this in my country."
We applaud you both, Daniel and Kathryn, for standing up to young people who are victimized by anonymous bullies. There are a lot of causes that need help from influential people like celebrities to be able to be known by many.
