Marian shared scary experience during Dyesebel
Marian Rivera remembered the time when she almost drowned during the taping of Dyesebel, in that moment she thought that it will be the end of her life.
But because of that incident Dingdong Dantes finally had the chance to pursue her. “Dyesebel” is a Kapuso primetime series in 2008, the main characters were played by Marian and Dingdong.
Before the Dyesebel, they already did their first team up on a Marimar in 2007. Dingdong already had feelings for Marian, but she ignores him. She admit that Dingdong was not her type, but there was a time when she finally saw the kindness of Dingdong that made her give him a chance.
That was during the taping of Dyesebel.“I am in under the sea water all day and night for the Dyesebel’s taping. But I didn’t say a word even though the water was so cold because we need to finish every scene.”
“The mermaid costume was made in silicon so we need to put some weight for it to get to the bottom of the sea. They will throw me in the water after that, with only one camera man. The camera man will swim faster to record every scene.”
“I was alone that time and they didn’t notice that the waves were about to come.” She said the waves took her away twice. “I thought I was gonna die.”
Even though she’s a good swimmer, she can’t move because of the weights on her costume. “I can’t take off my costume, Im just wearing underwear but I didn’t care. I can’t take off my costume that’s why the waves took me away.”
That was the moment when Dingdong took action to save her.“Dong got scared and worried, he dived in the water to save me but there were divers who also help. Then she took me off the water like a baby and put me in the boat.”
“He hugged me and then asked me if I am okay, so I got emotional and I cried. I thought I was gonna die.” She said she drank a lot of sea water that made it hard to breathe. “I constantly said the word ‘I’m done, I’m gonna die.'”
After the incident Dingdong talk with the crew. “He’s so mad, he asked the crew few questions about the incident.”
Marian said, “That is the moment when I finally see how kind he is. That he is so caring. That is when I finally noticed how kind he is.”
After that incident Marian decided to finally give Dong a chance to court her. You can watch the full interview on celestified.
