Ozamiz police chief claims vice mayor Nova Princess Parojinog offered self to him

Ozamiz City police head Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido on Saturday claimed detained Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez made several attempts to bribe him.

A report on 24 Oras said Espenido also claimed that the vice mayor offered herself to him in exchange for not disrupting her family's alleged illegal drug operation.

Espenido also claimed that the Parojinog family also offered him cash, house and a car.
The report said that according to Espenido, other police officials assigned to the Ozamiz City Station were also bribed by the Parojinogs.
Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, lawyer of the vice mayor, said Espenido's accusations should be ignored.
He said authorities must probe possible irregularities during the predawn raids last Sunday, which resulted in the killing of Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., his wife Susan and 14 others.
The police chief was among the police officials who led the deadly predawn raids at the homes of the Parojinogs.

The Parojinog camp said they will use a CCTV camera footage, which allegedly proves their claim that policemen planted firearms and other pieces of evidence supposedly seized from their homes during the simultaneous raids.
The vice mayor and her brother, Reynaldo Jr., were arrested during the raid and are currently detained at the Philippine National Police's Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and illegal possession of firearms have been filed against them.
