KAREN DAVILA- ABSCBN's news anchor and host of "May Puhunan" was lambasted by netizens over opinion on smuggling issue that involves son of the president, Paolo Duterte.
Last week, Karen has issued a strong commentary on her radio show Pasada 630 saying persons involved by a star witness during a Senate hearing should voluntary appear or should be called on by the senate commitee. She is particularly referring to Paolo Duterte and Atty. Mans Carpio who were both mentioned by start witness Mark Taguba.
After her program, she even clarified thru her Twitter account saying every Filipino should be treated equal.
"Simple lang punto ko. Kung banggitin ka ng star witness sa senado…ipatatawag ka para magpaliwanag. Sana kahit sino pa #pantaypantay,” she tweeted.

After such, in a Facebook post by Mark Lopez a well known solid Duterte supporter a letter from a netizen exposed and requesting Karen Davila to attend the Senate ethics meeting to explain on a bank loan attached to her condo unit that involves Senator Trillanes.
Here is the said post from MArk Lopez's Facebook account:
Dear Karen Davila,
I have received a forwarded text message sent by a friend of a relative of a neighbor of a classmate of mine in elementary.
The said text message said that the plush and very exclusive condo unit in Makati where you reside is actually being paid for by unsettled DBP loans that is now said to be managed by the highly paid consultants of Senator Trillanes.
With this, I demand that since your name was mentioned in the said text message, you should immediately appear in the forthcoming Senate Ethics complaint procedure against Trillanes that will be tackled soon.
Again, your name was mentioned repeatedly and this is more than enough to compel you to make the said appearance.
This demand is valid and enforceable based on your own definition of how a person should act on the basis of hearsay.
And this is not personal ha.

Karen Davila's home as posted by PEP.ph last 2008 is a three-bedroom 160-square-meter condominium unit in a mid-rise building five minutes away from ABS-CBN.
