Well, Dilawan blogger/journalist Raissa Robles isn’t done yet dissing Senator Manny Pacquiao on Twitter.
According to Raissa Robles, Manny Pacquiao is an add!ct because he admitted to drug use when he was younger.
Robles asked the supporters and sympathizers of the boxing icon turned Senator why can they accept it?
Robles argued that for President Duterte, if you are caught with one sachet of shabu, you are an add!ct and can be tokhanged.
Robles remarked that if they can’t get her argument, something must be wrong with their brain. Won’t process that info that Pacquiao admitted to dr*g use.
Meanwhile, the staunchest supporter of Pacquiao and of course President Duterte did not like tone of Robles’ tweet calling the boxer-senator an add!ct because he admitted to using dr*g use when he was younger. Conlan called Robles tweet slanderous.
Apparently annoyed, Conlan ordered Robles to use her skill as an “investigative journalist” to check and try to understand the definition of what an add!ct is.
In case Robles’ does not know how to look up the definition, the Brit walked the extra smile and defined “add!ct” to Robles as per Collins dictionary is concerned, which as someone who is addicted to illegal drugs.
Synonyms: user, abuser, junkie
Conlan appealed to Robles that someone who have used drugs in the past from all walks of life, if they have given up drugs, they are no longer addicts. For example, former President Obama and Clinton. If going by Robles’ logic, does this makes the two former US Presidents in the same boat as Pacquiao?
Conlan also corrected Robles’ understanding of TOKHANG. Again for the benefit of Robles, Conlan tokhang isn’t what Robles had in mind because the word means “to help rehabilitate those people who are CURRENTLY addicted to illegal drugs.“
Conlan said that calling a current Senator of the Republic of the Philippines an ‘adik’ must be slanderous. The Brit strongly condemned Robles for bringing the good Senator’s name into disrepute!!!
Conlan wrapped up his FB post by appealing to Robles to stop bashing Senator Manny because he has done a lot of good and is a role model for many people, unlike her.

So now Raissa Robles has called Senator Manny Pacquiao a drug addict, because he admitted to use using drugs when he was younger.
Why don’t you use your ‘investigative journalist’ skills and check a dictionary to try and understand the definition what an addict is. In case you don’t how to look up the definition, here is the Collins dictionary definition of ‘drug addict’
