Various local government units (LGU) across the country have recently come up with different solutions to transportation in their respective areas. In the city of Santa Rosa in Laguna, the LGU is getting by with a little help from its friends at Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP).
Santa Rosa City is the home of TMP’s production plant, which recently suspended operations in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. But it seems that won’t prevent the company from giving a helping hand to its community—the Japanese carmaker has lent three Toyota Vios units to its LGU. The Santa Rosa City government shared via social media that the cars will be used by health offices and hospitals in the locale.
“Malaking tulong ito upang magampanan ang tungkulin sa kalusugan lalo’t higit sa panahon ng enhanced community quarantine. Maraming salamat sa inyong pakikiisa. Pangalagaan ang ating komunidad at pamilya,” the LGU’s statement reads. You can also check out the official Facebook post below.

Now that’s some more good news we could use right now. Our LGUs can definitely use all the help they can get at the moment.
