The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is set to proceed with its inaugural rookie draft next year.
PVL President Ricky Palou announced that all team owners have unanimously agreed to his proposed drafting system.
“We will do that (the PVL rookie draft) in June or July. All teams agreed with the drafting,” Palou said in an interview.
Palou explained that the proposed drafting system aims to guarantee equal opportunities for all teams in selecting incoming rookie aspirants.
In the recently concluded PVL season, graduating volleyball players were directly recruited by well-funded teams.
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers have successfully acquired the services of Eya Laure, Imee Hernandez, Princess Robles, Jen Nierva, and Joyme Cagande.
The disbanded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers managed to secure Jolina dela Cruz, Marionne Alba, and Jovelyn Fernandez.
Akari Power Chargers, on the other hand, have inked deals with Faith Nisperos, Mereophe Sharma, and Justine Jazareno.
