Kylian Mbappé has fulfilled his childhood dream of playing for Real Madrid C.F. after being unveiled as the newest member of the team on Monday night (Tuesday morning in Manila).
The French football star was formally introduced by Los Blancos, ending years of negotiations to secure his services.
“A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams, I’m proud to join Real Madrid,” Mbappé said in a statement. “Nobody can understand how excited I am right now.”
“Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support! Let me say: Hala Madrid!” added the former Paris Saint-Germain CF star.
Mbappé’s desire to play for Real Madrid was influenced by his childhood idol Cristiano Ronaldo, who became the face of Los Blancos from 2009 to 2018.
Ronaldo, who is now with Al-Nassr Football Club in Saudi Arabia, expressed elation over Mbappé’s official move to Real Madrid.

Mbappé’s five-year contract with the newly-crowned UEFA Champions League titlist will begin on July 1.
The French booters’ first game with the Los Blancos will likely be the European Supercup against Atalanta on August 14.
