Juan Gomez de Liano, Seoul SK Knights go 3-0 in KBL

Juan Gomez de Liano and the Seoul SK Knights recorded their third straight win in the Korean Basketball League after a 90-79 beating of the Goyang Sono Sky Gunners on Tuesday night at the Goyang Sono Arena.

The former University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons guard played limited minutes as he finished with two points and two rebounds as the SK Knights stayed on top with a 3-0 win-loss slate.

Jameel Warney led the way for the streaking SK Knights with a double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds; Il-young Heo added 17 markers; and Seonhyung Kim and Jaehyun Oh had 12 and 11, respectively.

Seonghyun Jeon ended with 27 points, including six three-pointers. For the Sky Gunners, Jeonghyun Lee contributed 15 markers, while Jarrod Jones and Deyonte Davis had 11 and 10, respectively.

Joshua Torralba, formerly of the Blackwater Bossing in the PBA, finally made his debut for the Sky Gunners as he scored two points in three minutes of action. They dropped to 0-2.

Meanwhile, Justin Gutang and the Changwon LG Sakers suffered their second consecutive loss as they bowed to Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus, 76-74, at the Ulsan Dongcheon Gymnasium.

Gutang, formerly of the College of St. Benilde Blazers, logged in seven minutes and finished with four points, one rebound, and one assist in a losing cause for the LG Sakers.
