Ginebra’s LA Tenorio admitted feeling saddened by their exit from the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, having been swept by San Miguel Beer in the semis.
He mentioned that it would have been something special if they could have retained the title even after his battle with cancer.
“I’m happy, but sayang lang. It could’ve been a nice story to tell, no? Pero, I’m happy that I’m back playing again at a high level,” said the Kings’ “Tinyente” in a report by ABS-CBN News.
“Sayang, mas magandang storya kung naka Finals man lang. But you know, it is what it is. The most important thing is that we still have another conference,” he said.
Tenorio believes they will be able to do better in the Philippine Cup. By that time, he will be well prepared, he said.
“For me personally, I am looking forward sa All-Filipino, to play again and to get better. The timing, [wala] pa eh. Hopefully, by the next conference, I’ll be much better,” he said.
