Tai Bundit aims for Criss Cross championship in Spikers’ Turf debut

Veteran volleyball coach Anusorn “Tai” Bundit aims to replicate his coaching success with the Criss Cross King Crunchers as they make their Spikers’ Turf debut in the upcoming Open Conference.

Bundit expresses confidence that the King Crunchers, equipped with talented players who diligently follow his system, can contend for the championship in their first Spikers’ Turf conference.

“In my team, champion,” Bundit said during the team’s press conference on Friday night. “My players they are very good; they concentrate on the training, and they are supportive of the system.”

Bundit, known for coaching women’s teams like the Ateneo Blue Eagles and Creamline Cool Smashers to UAAP and PVL titles, is handling a men’s volleyball team for the first time with the Criss Cross King Crunchers in the Spikers’ Turf.

“I am very looking forward to training the (Criss Cross) team, and I have accepted this job as the head coach of a men’s volleyball team to give back to Rebisco’s trust in me,” Bundit said.

Marasigan, the King Crunchers team captain, praised Bundit for his disciplined and tactical training, which has quickly built chemistry within the squad as they prepare for their Spikers’ Turf debut.

“Mahirap ‘yung training namin dito. Focus talaga si coach Tai sa basic skills, bawal ‘yung pabandying bandying lang sa training,” said the former Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles standout.

“‘Yung schedule niya sa drills namin, talagang sinusunod niya, kung anong oras dapat magsisimula, kung anong mga naka-schedule na drills for the day, talagang tinatapos namin, which is good for the team,” he added.

The King Crunchers are poised to be strong contenders in the upcoming Spikers’ Turf Conference, alongside defending Open Conference champions the Cignal HD Spikers.
