WATCH: Blackwater coach Jeff Cariaso grabs Converge’s Aljun Melecio during tune-up game

Blackwater Bossing head coach Jeffrey Cariaso is facing scrutiny following an incident captured on video during a tuneup game on October 3, where he grabbed Converge FiberXers guard Aljun Melecio.
In a video obtained by Atletiko on Friday, Blackwater Bossing head coach Jeffrey Cariaso rushed to the floor, grabbing Converge FiberXers guard Aljun Melecio by the shoulder in an attempt to halt the game.

His frustration stemmed from FiberXers’ Jeo Ambohot not being called for a foul after a challenge on Bossing’s Tyrus Hill in the paint.

According to a source present at the game, the coaching staff restrained FiberXers players who attempted to confront Cariaso.

As a result of his actions, Cariaso was ejected from the game. Melecio, recovering from a leg injury, reportedly aggravated his injury due to Cariaso’s actions.

Despite the incident, both teams agreed to continue and finish the tuneup game, which the Bossing ultimately won.

The game served as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2023 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
